About the Role
We are looking for a part-time Research Scientist (data analyst) who will assist with and collaborate on ongoing and upcoming projects under the supervision of Dr. Hadley. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in managing and manipulating survey data. Individuals with a variety of education and experiences are welcome.
Primary Responsibilities
Data coding and cleaning
Data analysis (e.g., t-tests, multiple regression, HLM, structural equation modeling)
Writing results and producing tables for reports designed for a managerial audience
Contributing to the study design and data management process of additional survey projects
Potential for taking on additional responsibilities in the areas of literature reviews, IRB applications, project management, and participant recruitment
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 2 years research experience with a strong understanding and verifiable application of research methods.
Expertise in the following areas is required: advanced statistical methods, non normal data mitigation, psychometrics, causal inference. Experience in structural equation modeling, multilevel models, power analysis, and/or analyzing large datasets are plusses.
Strong proficiency in using SPSS or a similar statistical package (e.g., R or SAS) is required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Excel) is required.
Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
In addition to having demonstrated research skills, candidates must be highly motivated, self-directed, have strong organizational and problem-solving skills and be willing and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Experience conducting research on teams and remote/hybrid work is a plus.
Education
Typically, a Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology or organizational behavior with graduate coursework completed in statistics and research methods. Additional certification or education in a related field is strongly preferred.

Initial contract for an employment period of March 1 – August 30, 2022, with the potential to extend upon mutual interest.
